What do you do, exactly?
I am an editor and an alchemist. Send me your Word document (or Pages) and, as the situation calls for it, I proof, streamline, amplify your style, fact check, and make notes as I go. Past projects have included cover letters, graduate school writing samples, essays for catalogues and other publications, and even gallery labels and wall text. If you can put it in a document, I can edit it.

What are your qualifications for this kind of work?
Nearly a decade of experience in writing of all kinds—press releases, essays, grant proposals, endless emails, cover letters, the list goes on. And when you work with me, the writing doesn’t just get done— it gets results. Like the $3M grant I helped secure, or the cover letter that got the phone interview, or the writing sample that wowed Princeton, Harvard, and Berkeley.

How much do you charge?
Depends on the length and complexity of the project. My hourly rate is relatively high because I am fast and precise. So you can know exactly what you’re getting, I’ll provide a quote and contract before beginning work.

Can you help me with an emergency edit?!
Unless you’re an established client, no. I prefer to build rapport in a matter of days rather than minutes, and besides, even when I’m satisfied with my work, I like to sleep on it before calling it finished. Right now, 5 days notice is just about perfect for me.

How do I know you won’t take my ideas?
I won’t take your ideas. I already have more than I could possibly use!
